Honouring Township of Champlain Councillor

McGuinty Government Recognizes 25 Years Of Municipal Service

Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing

Township of Champlain Councillor Paul Emile Duval is the latest recipient of a provincial long-standing service award.

Duval, along with six other municipally elected officials from eastern Ontario, was honoured for 25 years of service at the annual Ontario East Municipal Conference held recently in Kingston.

Long-standing service awards are given to municipally elected officials with at least 25 years of service. The program was introduced by the Ontario government in 2004. As of 2006, those with 50 years of service are also recognized.

Duval served as councillor for the former Town of Vankleek Hill from 1977-1997, and for the Township of Champlain from 1998-2007.
