Final Ice Storm Assistance Payments

Ministry of Municipal Affairs

Ontario has now offered final payments to all municipalities and conservation authorities impacted by the December 2013 ice storm through the province's Ice Storm Assistance Program.

In 2014, the province announced that it would reimburse 100 per cent of eligible disaster response and recovery costs through the program. As part of the review process, Ontario worked closely with municipalities and conservation authorities on their claim submission, including clarifying and resolving questions about their submissions. The province is also providing opportunities for claimants to submit additional documentation before final payments are issued.
