Ontario Building More Rental Housing in 13 Communities

Ontario is providing 13 municipalities across the province with $125 million over five years, as part of the Development Charges Rebate Program. Municipalities will use these funds to encourage developers to build more rental housing and make it easier for individuals and families to find a place to call home.

Municipalities were selected based on their proposals outlining how they would use the program to encourage rental development and allocated funding based on their rental vacancy rates and tenant populations.
