New In-Home Dental Care Service In Timmins
McGuinty Government Helps Young Entrepreneur Launch Business
Ontario is helping a young local entrepreneur bring brighter smiles to Timmins.
The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund (NOHFC) is providing $25,000 to help establish Dental Hygiene Care Clinic. The funding will help purchase furniture and equipment for the new clinic, which also offers mobile dental services to those who are homebound or shut in. The funding is coming from the NOHFC's Young Entrepreneur Program.
- To date, the Young Entrepreneur Program has invested over $3.7 million in more than 167 projects in the North.
- The first civilian air ambulance service in Canada, Austin Airways, was based in Timmins.
“Not only is this a creative service, but an extremely useful one as well. It’s an excellent example of the ambition and talent possessed by our young northern business people and health care providers.”
Minister Michael Gravelle
