Haileybury Photo Studio Comes Into Focus

McGuinty Government Supports Young Northern Entrepreneur

A new in-home photography studio is opening in Temiskaming Shores with the support of the Ontario government.

De's Portrait Studio, located in Haileybury, will specialize in digital photography.  The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) is providing $24,437 to purchase equipment, furniture and support other start-up costs. Funding is from the NOHFC's Young Entrepreneur Program.

Quick Facts

  • To date, the Young Entrepreneur Program has provided more than $3.9 million to support 175 youth business start-ups in Northern Ontario.
  • According to the Small Business Enterprise Centre it is important to do research, have a comprehensive business plan and gather valid data before launching a business.
