Temiskaming Shores Improves Industrial Park
McGuinty Government Funds Better Access to Haileybury Complex
Improving access to the Haileybury Industrial Park will support economic development and generate new employment opportunities in the region.
The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) is providing $95,875 to the City of Temiskaming Shores to fix the entrance to the Haileybury Industrial Park. The work will include roadway construction as well as improvements to ditches and catch basins.
- The City of Temiskaming Shores is located on the shores of Lake Temiskaming, one of the deepest lakes in Ontario. The City includes the communities of Dymond, Haileybury and New Liskeard.
- The NOHFC’s Infrastructure and Community Development Program helps northern communities improve critical infrastructure and develop partnerships that find effective ways to create jobs and improve economic prospects in the North.
“By improving this industrial park, we are helping efforts to attract new investment and create new jobs in the Temiskaming Shores area.”
“Small scale industrial activities generate substantial economic activity in our community, upon which lies the responsibility to always better position itself for future growth.”
