New Business Offers Islanders A New Look

McGuinty Government Supports Young Northern Entrepreneur

Manitoulin Island residents can turn to a new service provider for all their hairstyling needs.

The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) has approved funding of $25,000 through its Young Entrepreneur Program to help launch Reflections, a hair dressing studio. Funding was used to purchase furniture, equipment and support other startup costs.

Reflections will offer advanced hair care to men and women of all ages in Little Current and surrounding area.

  • To date the Young Entrepreneur Program has provided more than $5 million to support 221 youth business start-ups in Northern Ontario.
