Highways 11 and 622 Near Atikokan Upgraded

McGuinty Government Creates Jobs, Invests In Northern Transportation Infrastructure

Drivers will experience improved traffic flow and safety with upgrades to Highways 11 and 622 near Atikokan.

Through Ontario's Northern Highways Program, more than 30 kilometres of these highways are being rehabilitated. Work will include resurfacing, culvert replacements as well as guide rail adjustments and replacements.

This work is creating more than 50 jobs and is scheduled for completion in October. It is part of the Open Ontario plan to create jobs and opportunities in Northern Ontario.
