Wood Products Company Expands In New Liskeard

McGuinty Government Supports Northern Economic Development, Creates Jobs

A New Liskeard wood products company will expand to meet the growing demand for its products and help create jobs in the area.

With support from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), Three H Furniture Systems Limited will add a 60-foot-by-30-foot expansion to its premises, and purchase equipment to increase production. A new chipper will help reduce landfill waste and potentially provide fuel to heat the premises.

The project will create 10 new jobs and is part of the government's five-year Open Ontario plan to create jobs and economic opportunities in Northern Ontario.

Quick Facts

  • The NOHFC is providing $125,000 to this initiative through its Enterprise North Job Creation Program.
  • In addition to the chipper, the company will use the NOHFC funding to purchase a milling machine and several cutting saws.
