McGuinty Government Supporting Economic Opportunities In Thunder Bay

A Thunder Bay industrial contractor is growing its pipe fabrication business and creating up to 20 new jobs.

With assistance from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), Venshore Mechanical has purchased additional production equipment and constructed a custom-designed building with overhead lifting capacity to expand its pipe manufacturing operations.

This initiative is part of the government's five-year Open Ontario plan to create jobs and economic opportunities in Northern Ontario.

  • Venshore Mechanical has been operating since 1987 and currently employs 80 people. Its services include piping, millwrighting, boiler repairs, equipment installation and steel erection.
