Northern Enterprises Tapping Global Expertise
McGuinty Government Helps Support Mining Sector, Create Jobs
Ten northern mining supply and services companies are getting expert advice to help them increase their international sales, boost local economic activity and create jobs.
The companies will work directly with an international export development advisor for the next six months to develop a range of marketing tools and strategies to access international markets. These companies were selected on the basis of their innovative, competitive products and services and their commitment to building capacity to meet increased demand.
This is part of a new export assistance program for mining supply and services companies to help them increase sales to international markets.
This initiative is part of the government's five-year Open Ontario plan to create jobs and economic opportunities in Northern Ontario.
