Statement from Ontario Minister of Energy, Chris Bentley - October 31, 2012
Today, Chris Bentley, Minister of Energy issued the following statement:
"I want to express my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the hydro worker who lost his life today while on the job in Sarnia.
This worker, like thousands across Ontario, was working to restore power following the outages that resulted as Hurricane Sandy swept across the province this week. This terrible tragedy shows the dangers that hydro workers across Ontario face every day as they dedicate themselves to delivering and maintaining the electricity that keeps our homes and businesses functioning. I would also like to extend my condolences to the Bluewater Power family.
Ministry of Labour has an Industrial Inspector and an Electrical Engineer on scene investigating.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the members of the worker's family, friends, and loved ones."
