Supporting Film Production in Northeastern Ontario

McGuinty Government Strengthening Northern Economy, Creating Jobs

Ontario's support for a film shot in Parry Sound and North Bay has strengthened the northern film industry, boosted the economy and created 27 jobs.

Serendipity Point Films is wrapping up shooting the feature film Stage Fright, which received support from the province's Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC).The production provided local residents with jobs as extras, crew and production staff.

Investing in Northern Ontario's film industry is part of the McGuinty government's Growth Plan for Northern Ontario. A strong northern economy creates local jobs and protects the services that mean the most to families - health care and education.
