Sandra Pupatello is a former Member of Provincial Parliament for the riding of Windsor West.
Today, she is CEO of the Windsor Essex Economic Development Corp., a not-for-profit body that supports regional development in southwestern Ontario, where Pupatello was born and raised. She also holds a senior position at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Toronto. Ms. Pupatello served in the Ontario Legislature from 1995 to 2011. In government, she held several economic portfolios, including spending six of her eight years in Cabinet as Minister of Economic Development & Trade. In that role, she championed Ontario on the global stage, organizing and participating in over two dozen international trade missions and events designed to drive investment and economic development.
Bernard Lord was Premier of New Brunswick from 1999 to 2006. Born and raised in New Brunswick in a bilingual household, he became interested in politics while studying common law at the University of Moncton, where he was president of the student union, a position he held for three terms. In 1997, he was elected leader of the New Brunswick PC Party, and in 1998 secured the riding of Moncton-East in a by-election. Shortly thereafter, he won a party leadership race and then in June 1999 his party attained the legislature in a landslide general election. He successfully led the party through one more trip to the provincial polls before resigning the leadership and then from the legislature in January 2007. Since October 2008, he has been president and CEO of industry body the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association.
He is married and has two children.
