Rock Climbing Facility Opening in Sudbury

Ontario Government Strengthening Economy, Creating Jobs

The Ontario government's support for a rock climbing and fitness gym in Sudbury is boosting the local economy and creating jobs.

With support from the province's Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, ARC Climbing is establishing a unique indoor rock climbing and yoga studio in Sudbury.  The project is creating 16 jobs.

Supporting small businesses is part of the government's economic plan that is creating jobs for today and tomorrow. The comprehensive plan and its six priorities focus on Ontario's greatest strengths - its people and strategic partnerships.

  • Ontario is providing $125,000 to this project through the NOHFC.
  • Since 2003, the NOHFC has invested $136 million in 794 projects in Sudbury, creating or sustaining more than 2,400 jobs.
