Small, Rural and Northern Infrastructure Fund Investments in Northeastern Ontario

Small, Rural and Northern Infrastructure Fund investments are supporting communities in northeastern Ontario complete the following new projects:

  • Billings is upgrading the Kagawong water treatment plant ($1.4 million)
  • Burk's Falls is replacing water lines and service connections on 1st Avenue ($1.4 million)
  • Central Manitoulin is reconstructing portions of Yonge Street ($1.4 million)
  • Charlton and Dack is replacing the Palmateer Road culvert ($160,000)
  • Foleyet Local Services Board is upgrading water treatment plant and collection systems ($622,000)
  • Gogama Local Services Board is replacing water and sewer pumps ($90,000)
  • Harley is replacing the Uno Park Road bridge ($1.5 million)
  • Hearst is improving water infrastructure near Highway 11 ($1 million)
  • Hornepayne is improving its water treatment filtration system ($46,000)
  • Hudson is replacing a culvert on Sawmill Road ($452,000)
  • Huron Shores is replacing large water pipes on Ansonia Road($364,000)
  • Kapuskasing is upgrading emergency wastewater infrastructure ($1.5 million)
  • Markstay-Warren is improving the Rutland Avenue water, sewer and lift station ($1.8 million)
  • Mattawa is upgrading the Brydges Street water and sewer trunk ($1.2 million)
  • Mattawan is replacing the Burke Drive ridge ($202,000)
  • McGarry is drilling and constructing a second water well ($276,000)
  • McMurrich/Monteith is replacing a culvert on Selena Drive ($82,000)
  • Moosonee is upgrading the Atim Road Bridge ($1.6 million)
  • Nairn and Hyman is automating and improving its water treatment plant ($228,000)
  • Parry Sound is reconstructing Wakefield and Dufferin Streets ($1.3 million)
  • Plummer Additional is replacing the Sucker Creek Culvert ($435,000)
  • Ryerson is replacing Midlothian bridge  ($393,000)
  • Sables-Spanish Rivers is improving infrastructure on River Road ($627,000)
  • Sault Ste. Marie is expanding Second Line East ($2 million)
  • Smooth Rock Falls is relocating the water line on 7th and 8th Crescents ($2 million)
  • Spanish and Serpent River First Nation are improving Trunk-Brennan Harbour Road ($1.5 million)
  • West Nipissing is improving Front Street ($2 million)
  • Whitestone is realigning WahWashKesh Lake Road ($900,000)
