Ontario Advancing New Technology in Northern Ontario

Province Supporting Development of New Project Management App

Ontario is helping to create new jobs in Sudbury by supporting the development and commercialization of a new a cloud-based app.

Glenn Thibeault, MPP for Sudbury, and Charles Sousa, Minister of Finance, made the announcement on behalf of Minister of Northern Development and Mines Bill Mauro today in Sudbury.

Developed by TimeHero Inc., the app is designed to help businesses improve scheduling and project management by creating more efficient, real-time work plans that account for when teams can work on tasks based on work hours, priorities, and other events. The project is creating eight new jobs.

Supporting innovative technology in the North is part of our plan to create jobs, grow our economy, and help people in their everyday lives.

  • Ontario is investing $417,410 in this project through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC).
  • TimeHero Inc. is engaged in the software development business. The TimeHero app uses a proprietary algorithmic-based scheduling engine that builds a dynamic plan of when to work on tasks and when things change, it automatically rebuilds the schedule providing real-time insight to keep projects and team members on track.
  • Since 2013, the NOHFC has invested more than $488 million in 3,165 projects, helping to create or sustain more than 10,895 jobs across Northern Ontario.
  • In the Sudbury region, the NOHFC has invested $90 million in 536 projects, creating or sustaining more than 1,370 jobs, since 2013.
