Ontario Supporting Business Expansion in Parry Sound

Construction of New Facility Improving Operations and Increasing Production

The government is making strategic investments to help grow the economy and create jobs in the Parry Sound area by investing in expansion at Kropf Industrial Inc.

Michael Gravelle, Minister of Northern Development and Mines was in Parry Sound today to announce an investment that enabled Kropf to construct a modern new production facility in Seguin Township, helping to expand the manufacturer's global competitiveness.

Kropf Industrial fabricates a broad range of equipment, including floating dock systems, hydraulic boat trailers, boat storage stands, and customized equipment for material handling and transportation.

This expansion made it possible for Kropf to address process flow, reduce environmental impacts and decrease production inefficiencies. This capital project also allowed Kropf to hire five new employees in the areas of production, sales and administration to serve their domestic and international markets.

The project included building a 13,500-square-foot addition, along with a state-of-the-art sandblasting booth and a modern paint booth. These upgrades were made to enhance working conditions, decrease production costs and increase the company's competitiveness.

Supporting business expansion in Parry Sound is part of our plan to create jobs, grow our economy, and help people in their everyday lives.
