Investment to Create Eight Full-Time Jobs

Ontario's government is working for the people by supporting Sault Ste. Marie's growing manufacturing sector, creating eight new full-time jobs.

Today, Ross Romano, MPP for Sault Ste. Marie, announced China Steel Inc. is receiving $741,500 to buy equipment that will diversify its operations and produce a higher quality product.

"Our government is committed to creating good jobs and helping local economies grow," said MPP Romano. "By investing in Sault Ste. Marie's thriving steel and manufacturing industry, we're sending a signal to the world that Northern Ontario is open for business and open for jobs."

Established in 1963 in Sault Ste. Marie, China Steel Inc. is a fabrication and machine shop servicing local, regional and global customers.

"We're thankful for the province's support of China Steel. We have a long history in Sault Ste. Marie and look forward to continuing to grow our business while supporting the Sault's manufacturing sector," said Carlo China, Co-owner, China Steel Inc.
