Recognizing Outstanding Ontario Parks Summer Students
McGuinty Government Supporting Student Success
Forty students have received educational bursaries for their outstanding performance as Ontario Parks summer employees.
- Winners are nominated by park visitors, peers and supervisors for their dedication, customer service, initiative and leadership.
- More than 1,600 students work in Ontario Parks each summer, helping to make the Ministry of Natural Resources the top youth employer in the Ontario Public Service.
- Ontarians and tourists from around the world make nearly 10 million visits to Ontario’s provincial parks each year.
“Our bursary award recipients did tremendous work this past summer and I thank them for their dedication and enthusiasm. I also commend our corporate partners and park supporters for recognizing the great work these students do – and for funding the program for the past 13 years.”
