Lincoln man and company fined $15,000 for Public Lands Act violation

Date of Conviction - February 23, 2018

Penalty Imposed - Jack Hill Construction Limited was fined $10,000. Jack Hill was fined $5,000.

Background - In June 2016, a conservation officer received information that fill had been deposited on the shoreline of Lake Ontario in the town of Lincoln. An investigation revealed that on June 6, 2016 Jack Hill Construction Limited transported two truckloads of brick and concrete to the shore of Lake Ontario. Jack Hill then operated a bulldozer to level the piles of brick and concrete, as well as pre-existing dirt and rubble on the shoreline.
