Building Stronger Partnerships To Help Address Ontario's Economic Challenges
Statement from Ontario Finance Minister Dwight Duncan at the Finance Ministers' Meeting
I look forward to the Finance Ministers' meeting to forge stronger relationships with my counterparts, in particular, Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty.
The McGuinty government has a five-point plan to strengthen Ontario's economy. Our plan invests in skills training and education, accelerates investments in infrastructure, encourages innovation and stimulates investments by lowering business costs.
Strengthening partnerships is also a key part of our plan to build a stronger Ontario for a stronger Canada.
Ontario's five-point economic plan shares commonalities with the federal government's economic plan. While we have fundamental differences in approach, our goals are similar.
I believe in working in partnership with the federal government to achieve our common goals for the betterment of all Ontarians.
