Interest Rate Holds Steady for Variable-Rate Ontario Savings Bonds

Ontarians Making Secure Investments in Their Own Province

The interest rate for the Variable-Rate Ontario Savings Bonds (OSBs) will remain at 1.25 per cent for the next six months.

This rate applies to Variable-Rate Bonds purchased from 2006 to 2008.  The rates are reviewed and reset every six months. The next update will be on June 21, 2013.

Variable-Rate Bonds are one of three Ontario Savings Bond investment options that are available annually during the first three weeks of June. The Fixed-Rate and Step-Up Ontario Savings Bonds are not affected by this interest rate change.
