Request for Bids

The LCBO has posted a Request for Bids (RFB) for eligible Ontario grocery retailers wishing to sell beer and cider at www.biddingo.com under LCBO RFB # 2017-001.

Interested grocers will need to register with Biddingo. Once registered, the RFB can then be accessed and downloaded for review. Included in the RFB are instructions on how the bidding process will work and the forms that need to be filled out to submit a bid.

Successful bidders will then apply to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario for an authorization to sell beer and cider. An annual fee paid to the AGCO will be required to obtain an authorization.

The LCBO has engaged the services of a fairness commissioner to provide oversight and advice to support integrity and fairness throughout the bidding process.

The deadline for submissions to the RFB is March 10, 2017 no later than 10:00:59 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Meeting for Bidders

The LCBO and AGCO will hold a general meeting via webcast for bidders (referred to in the RFB as "General RFB Respondents' Meeting") on February 13, 2017 at 10:00am EST. The webcast URL is: http://unikron.com/lcbo/

This meeting will be a live webcast where interested bidders will have the opportunity to email questions during the webcast and have those questions answered live. The webcast will also be posted on the LCBO website for the duration of the RFB.

Inquiries about the RFB should be directed by email to the attention of Sam Petralito, Manager Procurement and Contract Management at sam.petralito@lcbo.com.
