Date of Offence: January 24, 2018

Date of Conviction: March 20, 2018, at the Cornwall Provincial Offences Court

Penalty Imposed: 30 days in jail

Background:
On January 24, 2018, based on an investigation by the Cornwall Regional Task Force, a vehicle was searched under the Excise Act, 2001. The search revealed 663,270 grams of unmarked fine-cut tobacco. The tobacco was seized and forfeited.
