Special Advisors Appointed to Conduct Review of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board
The Ontario government is conducting an operational review of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) to provide the government with new information regarding the WSIB's operations and how it compares to other organizations.
The review will be conducted by Linda Regner Dykeman and Sean Speer, who have been appointed based on their respective areas of expertise in insurance and public policy.
Linda Regner Dykeman
Linda Regner Dykeman has more than 25 years of commercial insurance and leadership experience with expertise in underwriting, operations, compliance, business development and strategy. Ms. Dykeman has held various senior leadership roles where she has been responsible for the implementation and successful execution of business insurance strategy and broker relationship development.
Currently, Ms. Dykeman is the Head of MidCorp Canada, a division of Allianz. She has her Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto.
Sean Speer is a Senior Fellow in Public Policy at the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. Mr. Speer is a member of the Board of Governors for Lakehead University. He previously served as senior economic advisor to former Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Mr. Speer's research expertise includes Canadian public administration and economic policy.
Mr. Speer holds an M.A. in History from Carleton University and has studied economic history as a PhD candidate at Queen's University.
