There's No Place Like This For March Break

McGuinty Government Wants Families To Discover Ontario

Ontario is encouraging families to rediscover the province this March Break at one of the province's many tourist attractions.

Ontario tourist attractions, which play an important role in the province's economic and social prosperity, will offer a variety of special programs and events for the week-long school holiday.

During March Break, Ontario families can learn about the sharks of Canada in London, explore live, interactive science exhibits in Sudbury, experience life as a 19th century soldier in Kingston, or discover their new favourite painting at one of the province's many art galleries.

These are only a small sampling of the many attractions you and your family can enjoy during March Break.

Quick Facts

  • 300,000 people in Ontario are directly or indirectly employed by the tourism industry.
  • It is estimated that every $1 million spent by visitors to Ontario creates about 14 jobs and generates $533,400 in wages and salaries in the province.
