Ontario to Honour our Heroes with a Moment of Silence

Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport

Premier Doug Ford will host Ontario's official Queen's Park Remembrance Day ceremony to show respect and gratitude to members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have served and continue to serve Canada in times of war and conflict.

The Ceremony of Remembrance will be open to the public.

Time:

10:45 a.m. promptly - rain or shine

Location:

Ontario Veterans' Memorial, front lawn of the Legislative Building

Queen's Park, Toronto

Media Details:

There will be one designated media section near the Ontario Veterans' Memorial; feeds will be provided.

Media Parking:

Parking for satellite vehicles will be available on the southeast area of Queen's Park Crescent (inside lane only).  A limited number of parking spots will be available at the back of the Legislative Building for smaller vehicles.

Road Closures:

The following road closures will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on November 11th.

  • Queen's Park Crescent East from College Street North to Wellesley Street West.
  • Queen's Park Crescent West from Hoskin Avenue South to College Street.
  • Grosvenor Street from Queen's Park Crescent East to Surrey Place.
  • Wellesley Street West from Queen's Park Crescent East to Queen's Park Crescent West
