More Parking on the Way at Oshawa GO Station

Ontario Government Improving Public Transit

Ministry of Transportation

Ontario is adding more parking spaces at the Oshawa GO Transit station to make it easier for commuters to take public transit.

Work is underway to add more than 160 new parking spaces at the station, giving commuters a total of 2,371 spaces. The lot is scheduled to open later on this month, with final paving work scheduled to be finished in the spring.

Expanding transit options is part of the Ontario government's economic plan to invest in people, build modern infrastructure and support a dynamic and innovative business climate.

Quick Facts

  • With the 15-minute GO Train Service Guarantee, riders may get a credit if their train arrival is delayed 15 minutes or more.
  • Improving GO’s infrastructure supports future two-way, all-day GO Train service across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area.
  • Since 2003, Ontario has invested approximately $9.1 billion in GO Transit to improve service and expand routes.
