Premier McGuinty Pays Tribute To Mississauga Mayor

Joins Board Of Trade In Honouring McCallion’s Two Decades Of Leadership

MISSISSAUGA -- Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty today joined the Mississauga Board of Trade in honouring Mayor Hazel McCallion for her legacy of community-building and leadership.

"Mayor McCallion has made Mississauga a great place to do business and a great place to live," said Premier McGuinty. "Her commitment to sport, culture the arts and to keeping this city clean has provided Mississauga with a tremendous quality of life."

There are 52 U.S Fortune 500 companies with head offices in Mississauga. In addition, 42 of Canada's top 500 corporations are located in the community, making it the fourth-largest head office centre in the country.

"Mississauga's dynamic business environment is supported by sound planning and solid infrastructure," said Premier McGuinty. "Our government is committed to working with communities like Mississauga to ensure they have the tools they need to manage their future growth."
