Premier Dalton McGuinty Launches New Website

Ontarians Invited To Share Their Best Ideas For Building Opportunity

Office of the Premier

Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty today re-launched his website with new features that will allow Ontarians to ask questions and share their ideas for building opportunity in the province.

"In Ontario, we work best when we work together. This new site is about celebrating all that we have in our province -- and sharing ideas on how we can build opportunity for all," said Premier McGuinty. "I look forward to hearing from citizens about how our government is doing -- I encourage people to let me know about their goals for their family, their community and our province."

New features have been added to make the website more interactive and improve access to the Premier.

Website features include:

  • Clear directions on where to access government services such as birth certificates or licences
  • Enhanced e-mail to and from the Premier
  • A video journal where the Premier provides his views on key issues
  • More information about the government's priorities.

The site will encourage people to get involved in their community and their school by taking part in special events, quizzes and contests. The first activity, Postcards of the Province, asks people to send in their favourite photos of Ontario.

"It's an honour and a privilege to work with Ontarians to make our province even stronger," said Premier McGuinty. "I'm always looking for new ideas -- so if people in Ontario have suggestions, concerns or questions, I hope they will let me know about them."
