Premier Mcguinty Shuffles Parliamentary Assistants

Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty today announced that several MPPs will be given new portfolios as parliamentary assistants.

"Our government is making progress in working with Ontarians to deliver higher test scores, smaller class sizes, greater access to doctors and nurses, shorter wait times and a stronger economy," said Premier McGuinty. "However, we still have work to do -- and these committed and energetic MPPs will help us continue building opportunity for Ontario families."

Parliamentary assistants work with ministers to advance key priorities within their portfolios and contribute to special projects. The following MPPs will serve as parliamentary assistants to ministers of the provincial Cabinet:
