New Jobs For Ontario MPPs
Two Ontario MPPs were assigned new portfolios to help implement the province's Open Ontario Plan.
Kim Craitor becomes Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Tourism and Culture (Tourism). Kim will focus on leveraging economic opportunity within the tourism sector. Liz Sandals becomes Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, helping to improve health care services.
Parliamentary Assistants work with ministers to carry out the government's agenda. They are often assigned special projects and develop policy proposals for the government. In the Legislature, they often represent their ministers during debate on government bills.
