McGuinty Government Announces Ministers To Take On New Responsibilities
Premier Dalton McGuinty today announced changes to his Cabinet and government following the resignation of Minister Kathleen Wynne.
To ensure that the Cabinet stays focused on delivering on key priorities for Ontario families, the Premier is recommending the following changes:
Bob Chiarelli would become Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing. He continues to serve as Minister of Transportation and Minister of Infrastructure.
Chris Bentley would become Minister of Aboriginal Affairs. He will continue to serve as Minister of Energy.
These changes would take effect early next week after the ministers are sworn in to their new portfolios.
“I want to thank Kathleen Wynne for serving Ontarians in a number of portfolios and for her commitment to public service. Our Cabinet remains committed to delivering progress for Ontario families and I thank Minister Chiarelli and Minister Bentley for taking on these added responsibilities.”
