Executive Biography

Ann Hoggarth was first elected to the Ontario legislature in 2014 as the MPP for Barrie.

Hoggarth currently serves as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Community and Social Services. She was previously Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Labour.

She has more than 25 years of experience in the public education system. Hoggarth is an elementary school teacher and a past president of the Simcoe County Elementary Teachers’ Federation. In 2001, she received the President’s Award from the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario.

Hoggarth lives in Barrie, where she is active in the community. She was president of the Barrie Skating Club for seven years. She was also involved in the community discussions that resulted in the successful completion of the Barrie Molson Centre.

She received the Queen’s Jubilee Award in 2003 for her work in the community and the education sector.
