Province Partners with Innovative Businesses to Support Hundreds of Local Jobs

Small Business

Ontario is partnering with Townsend Butchers Inc. and Toyotetsu Canada to help the companies create 36 new jobs and retain 609 existing positions in Simcoe.

Townsend Butchers Inc. is a family-owned business, providing services and meat products to wholesale and retail customers. With support from the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund, these enhancements will allow the company to upgrade its facilities and purchase new production equipment.

Toyotetsu Canada manufactures a number of different auto parts, including rear suspension arms and brake pedals. With support from the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund, these enhancements will allow the company to produce a line of auto parts for the new Lexus RX in-house, eliminating the need to import and then assemble the parts.
