Extension Agreement Ratified with AMAPCEO
The government of Ontario and the Association of Management, Administrative and Professional Crown Employees of Ontario (AMAPCEO) have ratified a four-year extension agreement.
This extension agreement covers a four-year term of April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2022. It includes modest wage increases that are fair and reasonable to employees and aligns with current economic and labour market trends.
This negotiated outcome reflects a strong and positive relationship between the parties. The greater labour stability achieved through this extension agreement will enable the province to maintain the flexible and high-performing public service workforce it needs to deliver effectively and efficiently on the things that matter most to the people of Ontario.
- AMAPCEO is the second-largest bargaining agent in the Ontario Public Service, representing approximately 12,000 employees.
- The current AMAPCEO Collective Agreement expires on March 31, 2018.
- The Treasury Board Secretariat is responsible for collective bargaining with all Ontario Public Service bargaining agents.
“I am pleased we have ratified an extension agreement with AMAPCEO. Through this agreement, which is similar to the recently ratified extension agreement with the OPSEU Unified Bargaining Unit, the government is continuing to take a balanced approach to managing compensation in the provincial public sector. Our government values the hard work of our public service employees, and our shared commitment to delivering high-quality programs and services while managing public resources responsibly.”
